On the evenings of the three central weekends of the month of August 2024, an experience of listening to the recitation by heart of some of the most famous Cantos of the Divine Comedy is proposed. The promoter and reciter will be Prof. Pietro Savoldi who for the occasion will present himself as a spokesperson and, so to speak, 'frontman' of the Supreme Poet, imagining himself as representing him in the action of declaiming to his fellow Florentine citizens passages of his immortal masterpiece, that "sacred poem to which he put his hand and heaven and earth".

The intimate and cozy place for this challenging and cathartic experience will be the small orchard of the hermitage adjacent to the church of San Pietro in Mavino, the oldest parish church not only in Sirmione, but in the whole of Lake Garda. In this splendid church, three years ago, on the occasion of the seven hundredth anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri, the professor himself held five evenings of Dante recitals on Fridays in October 2021 (“Dante's Fridays”).
